Our take
Eri Maldives is the former Eriyadu Island Resort, renamed and reopened by Pulse Hotels & Resorts in January 2026 after a renovation. It sits on an 8-hectare island in North Malé Atoll, 45 minutes by speedboat from Velana, so there is no seaplane timetable to fit around. Every room is on land: Beach Studios, Sky Studios on an upper floor, Beach Villas and Beach Pool Villas. I would book it for snorkellers and divers who care more about a house reef entered straight from the beach, and the Euro-Divers centre, than about sleeping over the water. Couples set on a water villa should look elsewhere. Guests rate it 9.1, but only from 41 reviews so far.
- ✓Take a Sky Studio only if you want the view: it sits on an upper floor above the palms with a lagoon-facing balcony, while the Beach Studio of the same 30 m² opens onto the sand.

Why guests love itEri Maldives works for families who want everything on land and close together: the island covers 8 hectares, and every room opens onto the beach or sits just above it. Beach Villas and Beach Pool Villas sleep up to three, so a family of four needs two rooms; the studios sleep two. The resort lists dive programmes for juniors at the Euro-Divers centre, which makes it a sensible island for an older child's first dives, and the house reef is entered straight from the beach. No kids club appears in the resort's descriptions, so younger children have the beach, the lagoon and the infinity pool beside the Sip & Dip bar. The 45-minute speedboat also spares families the seaplane's daylight-only schedule.
