Why guests love itBodu Hithi sits a good thirty-five minutes out by speedboat, further than most of the resorts we compared, and that extra distance is exactly why we picked it: fewer day-trippers, a quieter house reef, a dive centre that never felt crowded when our daughter did her first proper dive. The overwater and private-pool villas both looked good online, and in person the overwater option won for the sunset views alone. This is a private island built for a slower pace, not a base for exploring beyond it.
