Adults-Only
An adults-only resort in the Maldives is an island where children are not accepted, but the age line is not the same everywhere. Centara Ras Fushi in North Malé Atoll admits guests from 18, while Baros, often listed as adults-only, accepts children from 8, and Milaidhoo in Baa Atoll does the same. Read the minimum age in each resort's own policy before you count on a child-free pool. Half of the resorts filed under this theme on our site also sell all-inclusive, including Centara Ras Fushi, OBLU SELECT Lobigili, You & Me Maldives in Raa Atoll and Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa in Meemu Atoll. Transfers split the list in two. Adaaran Prestige Vadoo and Anantara Veli sit in South Malé Atoll, a short speedboat ride from Velana International Airport, which means no daylight cutoff on arrival day. Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa, ROBINSON Maldives and Mercure Kooddoo need a domestic flight and then a boat. For a short honeymoon after a long-haul flight, I would stay close to Malé; for a week or more, the extra transfer time to the remote atolls weighs much less. Note that some family resorts carry this label by mistake on booking sites: Sun Siyam Iru Fushi and Le Méridien Maldives both run kids' clubs.
