Why guests love itThe Standard, Maldives, by Hyatt felt less formal than most Raa Atoll five-star resorts, and the social energy around the main pool in the evenings was more lively than we expected from a luxury property. Our overwater villa with a private pool meant we barely used the resort's own pool deck. With 115 villas spread across the island, the walk to dinner ran longer than at smaller resorts, worth factoring in if mobility is a concern.
