Why guests love it

We had one surfer and two non-surfers in our group and Royal Island handled both without either side feeling shortchanged, the tennis court and pool kept the rest of us busy while the resort's boat ran surf trips to a nearby break. Our wood-built villa's private patio looked straight out over the ocean, which made the daily unwinding after buffet dinners feel effortless. The private-island setting meant our kids could roam a little more freely than we expected to be comfortable with elsewhere.
